What the week looks like
Over five immersive days, kids ages 10–15 build a real business from the ground up.
They learn how to identify real problems worth solving, validate ideas, talk to real customers, design logos, create commercials and marketing campaigns, understand the basics of budgeting and finance, and practice selling and pitching — all guided by entrepreneurs who’ve actually built companies themselves.
Kids work in small, rotating teams, giving them the chance to collaborate, meet new people, and build confidence working with different personalities. Groups are age-appropriate, so activities and pacing are tailored to where kids are developmentally.
Everything is included — all materials, supplies, and tools are provided, so campers can focus fully on creating, experimenting, and having fun.
Each camp wraps with a Pitch Competition, where teams present to local entrepreneurs and compete for up to $1,000 in prizes.
Dates and Costs
This summer we are offering camps in 3 locations!
The cost of the camp ranges from $350-$400 depending on the location. Costs vary based on insurance needs and staffing costs. We try to keep costs low and we are working on offering scholarships.
We are so thankful to our host partners, the Vermont Day School, uOttawa's Entrepreneurship Hub and Memorial University's Center for Entrepreneurship. Without future-focused mission-driven partners like these, we wouldn't be able to bring this camp to life!

Our Impact
Venture Camp started in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Three years later, more than 200 kids have taken part.
What matters most isn’t the number — it’s what happens after.
Kids leave with more confidence, clearer voices, new friends, and the experience of having their ideas taken seriously by adults outside their family or school.
For many, that’s the moment something clicks: I can actually do this.
“I’m blown away by what Vivienne has built.”
Because the content is developed by a teen, she knows what they actually want to learn! It’s exactly what kids need.

“This is my child’s favorite camp!"
Every day they came home excited with ideas. It’s incredible to see a program that’s both fun and teaches real skills. They’re already talking about what business they’ll start next summer!
— Parent, St. John’s Camper 2024
“I didn't think I’d start a business at 12 but I did!”
The counsellors made it fun and helped us figure out our idea. Now I want to keep building it after camp!
